Fall in admissions to American films in 2024
Neuchâtel, 17.3.2025 - The number of cinema admissions in Switzerland fell in 2024 compared with 2023 (‒2%). However, there were variations depending on language region (‒4% in German-speaking Switzerland, but +2% in French-speaking and Italian-speaking Switzerland) and production country (‒12% for American films and +11% for European films). These are some of the final results from the 2024 Swiss Film and Cinema Statistics compiled by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
