Participation

The e-ID and the Trust Infrastructure are being set up primarily for people living in Switzerland. To ensure that they will understand, trust and use the e-ID, the e-ID Project Organisation offers various ways of exchanging information and participating in the project. This also means that the knowledge and experience of experts outside the Federal Administration can be brought into the project. The idea is to create opportunities to participate in addition to the formal mechanisms (consultation, optional referendum, etc.).

Do you have any ideas for further participation opportunities? We look forward to hearing from you.

Subscribe to our e-ID newsletter

Once or twice a month we send out the e-ID newsletter, in which we report on important developments in the e-ID project and draw your attention to forthcoming events, especially the participation meetings.

Shape the e-ID with us

To make sure the e-ID meets the needs of the people in Switzerland, users are involved early in the further development. For this purpose, we regularly organize usability tests – online, on site or in the form of surveys. Would you like to share your experience? Register for our user pool. This way, we can contact you for future usability tests. Your contribution helps us improve the app step by step.

Note: For registration, you will be redirected to the external platform Findmind. Findmind is a Swiss online service for surveys and questionnaires.

Participation meetings

The participation meetings are normally held as a video conference on the first Thursday of every month from 4 to 6pm. In the meetings, we report on the current status of the e-ID project and usually invite external experts to present e-ID-relevant topics. The meetings are aimed at an audience that already has some prior knowledge of e-ID matters; this can be of a legal, technical or application-oriented nature. The WebEx link to the individual participation meetings is sent out in the newsletter.

We also run one-hour introductions to the e-ID on a regular basis. These are aimed at an audience with no prior knowledge of e-ID.
