To make the verification work, you need a stable internet connection.
There are two ways to verify a credential:
Via QR code:
- Open the swiyu app and tap «Scan».
- Scan the QR code shown to you, for example by a person or displayed on a website.
- You will then see which data is requested and can approve or decline the sharing.
Important: The QR code must be scanned within the swiyu app. Scanning with your smartphone’s camera app will not work.
Via link:
- Tap the link displayed on your smartphone.
- The swiyu app will open automatically. You will then see which data is requested and can approve or decline the sharing.

No. The verifying organisation determines which data is checked. If you do not want to share certain data, you must decline the entire request.

There can be several reasons for this. The following steps may help:
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
- Scan the QR code using the swiyu app.
- If it still does not work, there may be a temporary system issue. Please try again later.
- It is also possible that the credential is faulty. In this case, contact the issuer to obtain a new credential.
