Your credentials and the data they contain are stored exclusively locally and encrypted on your smartphone in the swiyu app. Your data is only decrypted during active use of the swiyu app.
As you own your data, you decide with whom to share it. Before presenting your data for verification, we recommend checking:
- Is the website or person verifying you trustworthy?
- Are only the data that are truly necessary being requested?
The swiyu app supports you with important information about the identity and trustworthiness of the other party. The selected data is only transmitted in encrypted form after your explicit consent.

Anonymous usage data may be voluntarily provided to the Confederation so that it can continue to optimise and improve the systems. Relevant usage data is generated in the following cases:
- When general error messages are triggered
- In case of communication malfunctions
- When the swiyu app encounters a malfunction or crashes unexpectedly
Before these usage data are transmitted to the Confederation for analysis, they are anonymised. We would be grateful if you agreed to provide us with your usage data.
