With swiyu Check, you have two options to verify an e‑ID. In both variants, the same amount of data is exchanged. Which variant you use is up to you and the person whose e‑ID you want to verify.
1. My swiyu Check QR code is scanned
I generate a QR code using swiyu Check. I show it to the person whose e‑ID I want to check. This person scans my QR code with their swiyu Wallet and is informed about which e‑ID data I am requesting. Only if they approve this request will the e‑ID data be transmitted to me. If they approve it, swiyu Check shows me whether the e‑ID is valid or not.
2. I scan the e‑ID QR code
The person whose e‑ID I want to verify shows me the QR code of their e‑ID. I scan it with swiyu Check. Their swiyu Wallet then displays which e‑ID data I am requesting. Only if they approve this request will the e‑ID data be transmitted to me. If they approve it, swiyu Check shows me whether the e‑ID is valid or not.

No. With swiyu Check, you can only verify e‑IDs and Beta‑IDs. Checking additional types of credentials is currently not possible.

With swiyu Check, you can either perform an age check only or verify certain additional personal data. However, you cannot verify all data contained in the e‑ID. In particular, you do not have access to the AHV number.
Age verification
The following age checks are available in swiyu Check:
- Is the person 16 years or older?
- Is the person 18 years or older?
- Is the person 65 years or older?
In all cases, the facial image and the validity status of the e‑ID are displayed. No other personal data is verified.
Verification of personal data
With swiyu Check, you can also verify certain additional personal data:
- Facial image
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- e‑ID number
- Validity status of the e‑ID
It is not possible to verify only a selection of these personal data.
